Kathianne Lewis, DD has served thousands of people in her 30+ years of service as Spiritual Director and Senior Minister at the Center for Spiritual Living. She is known worldwide as a Spiritual Leader, Master Teacher and Luminary – Empowering people to live a thriving life. Her worship services, classes and retreats, both locally and internationally, are engaging, entertaining and most importantly, transformational.

Having been a spiritual seeker for most of her life, Kathianne draws from the ancient wisdom of faith traditions around the world, yet always makes the Universal Spiritual Principles she presents applicable to human needs and aspirations. As a leading scholar in New Thought philosophy, she brings into harmony those teachings with the insights that ancient and contemporary religious study offer. Always, she offers practical spiritual tools for use in an often complex world.

Kathianne was ordained by the United Centers for Spiritual Living, a national New Thought denomination, and received her Doctorate of Divinity from the same in 1995.

Achievements

Throughout her 30+ years of ministry, Kathianne Lewis, DD has inspired and served CSL Seattle and communities around the world with her teachings, books, classes, retreats, and travel experiences.

Kathianne became an Ordained Minister with United Church of Religious Science (UCRS) in April 1987 and joined CSL–Seattle as Senior Minister and Spiritual Director in 1988. Here she has inspired thousands on their own spiritual path with practical and mystical delivery of Science of Mind and Universal Wisdom teachings.

Among her many achievements, Kathianne was awarded Honorary Doctor of Religious Science and Doctor of Divinity in 2000 and has served the greater community of Centers for Spiritual Living by sitting on numerous boards and committees with UCRS, including serving as UCRS Interim Chief Operating Officer. She also served as the Regional Director of the Holmes Institute in Seattle for several years.

Dedicated to supporting other ministers in their growth as teachers and leaders, Kathianne has co-organized the Ministers Ongoing Education Conference for the past 15 years. She has trained over 100 Prayer Practitioners, led over 40 Sacred Travel experiences, and developed curriculum for over 20 new classes and retreats, including The Power the Love Retreat in 2009, The Great I AM—Deep Listening Retreat in 2012, and rewriting the curriculum for Beyond Limits and Self-Mastery now used by many CSLs. Kathianne has authored the 40 Days series of Spiritual Practice books, 40 Days to Prosperity and 40 Days to Love translated into Spanish, The Thriving Practice Journal, and Word of Wisdom cards.

Kathianne continues to lovingly support our Seattle community in living thriving lives. Some areas of which she is most proud include: the creation of a support group for AIDS patients called Beyond AIDS (1989–1993) that contributed to many people living longer more fulfilled lives; The Better Business Breakfast, founded in 2003, and our thriving Employment Ministry, now called Spirit@Work, founded in 2008. These programs have supported hundreds of people through economic recession and beyond, bringing Spirit into their world of work transforming themselves and their livelihood.
